What do you get for parents that have had a wonderful and full life? Wherever they go they bring home friendships and memories. What would best represent their 50 years together? Well of course, let's throw a party and invite 400 of their closest friends. If it weren't for the help of friends and families we would still be in the planning stages. What better place to celebrate this great occassion than in your home town. We can not thank enough both the Hampton Inn Speedway of Daytona Beach and the Daytona International Speedway for being so accomodating. Their generosity and willingness to work with us in planning such a unique event made life so much easier. My wonderful husband Kevin wrote the wedding vows - which brought tears to many eyes. A special thanx to Reverand Hal Marchman for officiating the ceremony. Kevin also wrote a poem for mom and dad, that we used in their invitation. Kevin and his mom, Judy Bagwell, created both the wedding and groom cakes that were quickly devoured - we are still getting requests for the recipes. Next time you see Judy, ask her about this photo. After sorting through thousands of pictures, we developed a slide show highlighting friendships mom and dad have enjoyed throughout their past 50 years together. Slide show will open in new window. Once open select screen icon on bottom right - this will start presentation full screen - you can either wait for slides to automatically change, or click mouse to change slides. To get out of presentation, hit "Esc" button. Special thanx to all the photographers who sent us their digital pictures - Robert Ward, Jerry Stone, George & Coleen Burt, Dave & Lisa Schafer and Bill & Peggy Verhonik. Unfortunately, we just don't have the room to acknowledge and thank everyone that helped us with this celebration. However you know (and more importantly, we know) who you are - we can never thank you enough for your time and effort.
